I have learnt key skills such as basic bookkeeping and accounting principles. I really enjoy the problem-solving and attention to detail in accounting, and the course has really helped me improve these skills, which will help me get a job in an accountancy firm.

Aiden joined Lancaster & Morecambe College in September 2025 to study AAT Accounting Level 2 with the aim of developing a better understanding of the industry.

To reach his goal of working for an accountancy firm, Aiden decided to join our AAT Accounting Level 2 course to understand the business and accountancy world better. Accountancy is great for people who enjoy problem-solving and attention to detail, which are things Aiden loves about his course. The AAT Level 2 qualification is nationally recognised and opens doors to roles such as accounts assistant, finance officer and bookkeeper.

Our AAT Accounting Level 2 course is designed to prepare you for a career within accountancy, providing you with a solid foundation in finance administration. Accountants are an integral part of a business as they allow businesses to stay in full control of their finances and allow for educated financial decisions.

The course helps me a lot especialy with my understanding of how a business operates behind the scenes. I have also learnt how important accountants are to businesses. I have come a long way since starting the course and have gained a lot of knowledge. My greatest achievement on the course so far has been getting 91% on my exam! I am planning to progress to Level 3 next and get a job within a firm.

When asked what he would say to someone thinking of studying AAT Accounting at LMC, Aiden said:

I would definitely do it if you enjoy business, attention to detail and want to be an important player in any business. I really enjoy the course, it's endless learning!
