Studying at LMC offered me the opportunity to apply for university and achieve my goal of becoming a nurse. The work placements helped to increase my confidence and gave me the opportunity to network in medical environments.


University attended: University of Cumbria, where I achieved a First Class Hons. Degree in Adult Nursing.

Current job and employer
I am now a Registered Nurse working on Ward 37 at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary.

What were the best things about your course?
The staff at College were very supportive and the course reflected the university course and prepared me
well for my next step.

Why did you choose your course?
My goal after education was always to become a Nurse. This course offered the chance to learn more about nursing and offered practical experience on the various work placements.

Why did you choose Lancaster and Morecambe College?
I chose LMC because it’s my local college and had a good feel about it on the Open Day.

What would you say to someone who was thinking about doing the course?
I would say definitely go for it. The course is hard work but worthwhile, it’s a great experience!
